PC Based DVR's are the best way to go for your Video Surveillance System. They offer fast processors, lots of memory and multiple hard drives. A DVR card is then placed inside and you can run up to 32 cameras. They are more expensive than stand-alone DVR's, however, for business or large residences, they are the best choice for a robust surveillance system.
