The effective IR range is about 60 ft. with the standard 6mm lens. This Professional Night Vision Camera has a very rugged vandal proof metal case and heavy duty metal mounting bracket, which makes this a great camera for placement in areas that may be accessible by vandals. Unit also includes a sunshade.
