Just plug the DVR Spy Pen into your USB port of a PC and instantly view the video. How simple can they make it?

It only works with a PC; I can't get it to work with my Mac. I also can't get it to work using Parallels on myMac with XP running. If you have a Mac, your only option is to reboot in Bootcamp and it will run just fine that way. It works only on a PC, XP, Vista, though not sure on 2000, though it's ony been tested on XP. You have to plug in the device to a cable, and then, it will show up as a flash drive. Drag the videos to the desktop and you are ready to view.

You can only view in VLC Media player, which you can download: you need that free program to view the movies.

Some people say they can't play the movies in VLC Media player, so try this free program for the PC: 3GP Player 2008

We have 3 videos and the .avi files are much better quality, though we did post copies of them on YouTube if you have problems. In order to use the DVR spy pen, you will need to charge the digital video spy pen 2-4 hours, then it's ready to use. Press the top button lightly, and you will see the yellow light on the back side light up. The DVR pen is on & ready for action.

Press the top button lightly again, and wait a second or two. The yellow light will turn to blue, indicating the pen is recording. You can record up to about 2 hours before the battery runs out. If you want to end the video sooner, lightly press the top button again. After a second or so, the light will turn to yellow. Be gentle with this baby, no need to push hard.

To turn the Digital Spy Video Pen off, hold the button down 4 seconds, or until the yellow light turns off.
